India has millions of talented independent beauty professionals — makeup artists, hair stylists, nail technicians — most of whom still rely on WhatsApp and word of mouth to find clients. There's no discovery, no trust infrastructure, no reliable payment system built for them.
Clients, on the other hand, spend hours searching Instagram, asking friends, and dealing with last-minute cancellations because there's no accountability on either side.
We started Excelsior to fix this. Our first product, HerDay, is a marketplace that brings verified professionals and discerning clients together — with smart scheduling, transparent pricing, secure escrow payments, and AI tools that help clients visualise looks before they even book.
We're building this from Tamil Nadu, for India, with the ambition to eventually serve every city in the country. This is just the beginning.
